Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a unique pop star: a star who strayed completely from country music to pop culture, becoming the pop icon of the future that will be around forever, and will conquer everywhere. Swift has shed her country roots like they were second skins showing herself to be the smartest pop singer/songwriter in her generation. She has the ability to harness the current zeitgeist and create her unique. The first songs she released, such as the neotribute to Tim McGraw were a testament to her talents. However, her second album Fearless from 2008 showed a songwriter finding her voice and a wider fan base. The album was able to have significant legs not only within the U.S. where it racked seven platinum singles on the strength of the Top Ten hits Love Story and You Belong with Me but throughout the globe, performing especially well with Canada, the U.K. Canada and Australia. The Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago, consolidated her prior successes, propelling Swift into the spotlight. With the three subsequent albums -- Red 2012 1989 2014, and Reputation 2017. Swift's success only grew. It was a clear sign she had moved to an entirely new world of pop which she was able to fit into. She was at the top of pop even after she changed her signature style in her twin albums, folklore and Evermore in 2020.
