Sheryl Underwood, an American comedian, host of a TV show and actress most well-known for her role as host of the popular daytime talk show The Talk. Sheryl was born and brought up within Little Rock. Sheryl was raised by a difficult family. She was a lot of her youth looking after Frankie. Frankie suffered from polio. As she grew older it was not easy to get along between her mother and father. Sheryl claims that once she cut her father's hair for being too close to him. Sheryl, after graduating college was drafted into the military. But her passion was comedy. She was the first female finalist in the contest Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. She began her TV career in 1992, when she appeared as a frequent actor for the HBO comedy show Def Comedy Jam. The show was hosted by her Oh Drama! in 2000. The present guest host on the talk talk show from 2011. Also, she appears in fictional roles in popular shows such as Bulworth, Nikki or Beauty Shop.
