Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the United States and is a writer from Greece, a syndicated writer of columns as well as a businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post and the chief executive officer of Thrive Global. Author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an author, television personality, philanthropist as well as the founder and editor of The Huffington Post. After moving to England from Greece at the age of 16 and obtaining an MA with Economics from Cambridge University. At 21 she became president of the renowned debate society The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student to do so. Following after her college graduation, she was a well-known Conservative syndicated journalist. In the years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured critical commentary on the current political scene. In part, her fame led to the recruitment of a variety of renowned contributors. Arianna was famous after she was elected as an independent in California recall elections to replace Governor Davis. Additionally she also led the Detroit Project for efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Forbes named her as 12th on their list of the Top Popular Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post in their top 100 list in the year 2010. In 2011 AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post and made her the head of the media company, which also included a number of then-existing AOL properties too such as Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Elli has two siblings, Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, and Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, who both are journalist and management consultants. She was extremely close to her father. However, it was the relationship she had with her mother which has shaped her. In her earliest years she demonstrated leadership skills that remain highly respected. At the age of 16 her family moved into England in the United Kingdom for her higher education. She attended Girton College Cambridge. As a student she was a member of the Cambridge Union's colleges debating societies, and eventually was its first foreign female president. In 1972, her Master's in Economics was awarded. The career of a journalist and television host began after she graduated. In addition, along with Bernard Levin she appeared on an episode of Face the music.
